As if that wasn’t enough, Diljit began 2025 on an equally thrilling note, ringing in the New Year alongside Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
On December 31, 2024, Diljit Dosanjh wrapped up his Dil-Luminati India Tour with a spectacular finale in Ludhiana. The next day, January 1, 2025, he had a memorable meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In a heartwarming video shared by PM Modi, Diljit is seen greeting the leader with a flower bouquet and a salute, followed by the two exchanging a cheerful “Sat Sri Akal.” During the interaction, PM Modi praised Diljit, saying, “Hindustan ke ek gaao ka ek ladka jab duniya mein naam roshan karta hai toh achha lagta hai” (When a boy from an Indian village earns recognition worldwide, it feels great). The Prime Minister also noted the significance of Diljit’s name, adding, “Your family named you ‘Dil-jit,’ and now you’re truly winning hearts across the globe.”
In the video, Diljit later serenades PM Modi with a song, while the Prime Minister keeps the rhythm by strumming on a table between them—a beautiful moment that has captured the hearts of many. The internet can’t seem to get enough of this unexpected collaboration!
