Shah Rukh Khan Threatened with Death and Extortion: A person called the Bandra Police Station in Mumbai on Tuesday evening, threatening to kill Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and demanding Rs 50 lakh. The threat came from a caller claiming to be from the Carter Road area, where Khan resides.
In response, the police have filed an FIR under sections 308(4) and 351(3)(4) of the Indian Penal Code, related to extortion and criminal intimidation. Investigations revealed the call originated from a mobile number registered to one Faizan Khan in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
Police teams have been dispatched to Raipur to track down the suspect, with assistance from local authorities.
The police have increased security around Shah Rukh Khan’s residence in Bandra.
Last month, Mumbai police received threat calls and messages targeting actor Salman Khan, who has been threatened by the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The gang had previously fired gunshots outside his home earlier this year.
