New Delhi: Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule has been granted a U/A certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), according to the film’s makers. Arjun will reprise his role as Pushpa Raj, the labourer-turned-sandalwood smuggler, in the sequel to the 2021 Telugu hit Pushpa: The Rise. The film is scheduled for release on December 5.
Production company Mythri Movie Makers announced the news on Thursday evening via an Instagram post.
“Pushpa’s Rule, the biggest Indian film, has been certified with a U/A and is all set to deliver a WILDFIRE big-screen experience,” the studio wrote, accompanied by a promotional image from the movie.
Pushpa 2: The Rule is directed by Sukumar and stars Rashmika Mandanna, who returns as Srivalli, and Fahadh Faasil as SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat.
The sequel’s trailer was released on November 17 at a packed Gandhi Maidan in Patna.
