At its 47th AGM, Reliance introduced JioBrain, a new AI service platform designed to deliver powerful generative AI models at highly affordable prices, according to Chairman Mukesh Ambani. The company also outlined its plans to develop a “truly national AI infrastructure” and “gigawatt-scale AI-ready data centres” in Jamnagar, which will be powered by Reliance’s green energy initiatives.
Ambani stated, “Our goal is to create the world’s lowest AI inferencing cost by leveraging our infrastructure, networking, operations, software, and data expertise, in collaboration with global partners.” He stressed the importance of making AI services accessible across all devices and ensuring they are hosted within India to guarantee security and privacy.
Reliance also introduced the concept of connected intelligence, driven by the Jio AI Cloud, which will store data and deliver intelligent, personalized solutions through the network. Jio users will receive up to 100 GB of free cloud storage, with additional affordable storage options becoming available starting this Deepavali.
To address the increasing demand, Reliance is establishing multiple AI inferencing facilities across the country and collaborating with global leaders to introduce the latest AI innovations to India. Ambani highlighted various AI applications, such as inventory management in retail, disease diagnosis in healthcare, personalized entertainment experiences, advancements in agriculture, and AI teachers in education, all aimed at making high-quality education accessible and affordable for everyone.
