Sikandar is set to hit the big screens this March, with direction by AR Murugadoss.
Actor Salman Khan has officially announced the release date of his upcoming action drama Sikandar, which also features Rashmika Mandanna in a key role. Sharing the news on Instagram, Salman gave fans the much-awaited update.
Salman Khan Announces Sikandar Release Date
Sikandar is set to hit theatres on March 30. Sharing a new poster of the film, Salman Khan wrote, “See you in theatres worldwide on 30th March! Sikandar Sajid Nadiadwala’s Sikandar Directed by @a.r.murugadoss.”
The film’s release coincides with festivals like Gudi Padwa and Ugadi, which mark the beginning of the new year in Maharashtra and South India.
Sikandar Runtime Revealed
Directed by AR Murugadoss — known for Tamil and Hindi blockbusters like Ghajini and Thuppakki — Sikandar promises to be a tightly packed action entertainer. In a conversation with Pinkvilla, Murugadoss revealed the film’s runtime: “The first half of Sikandar is around 1 hour and 15 minutes, and the second half is about 1 hour and 5 minutes. The overall runtime is approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes,” he said.

The film also features an ensemble cast including Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, Sharman Joshi, Prateik Babbar, Anjini Dhawan, and Jatin Sarna. The final shooting schedule was wrapped up in Mumbai, with the film shot over 90 days across locations like Mumbai and Hyderabad. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Sikandar marks his reunion with Salman Khan after their 2014 hit Kick.
Last month, Salman Khan dropped an exciting teaser for the film. The 1-minute-21-second clip introduced his character, Sanjay — lovingly called Sikandar by his grandmother — and showcased Salman in a full-on massy avatar, complete with high-octane action scenes and powerful dialogues.
Salman Khan’s Recent Films
Salman Khan was last seen in the 2023 action thriller Tiger 3, where he shared the screen with Katrina Kaif. Directed by Maneesh Sharma, the film also featured Emraan Hashmi in a pivotal role.
In addition, Salman made a cameo appearance in Baby John, directed by Kalees. The film stars Varun Dhawan, Keerthy Suresh, Wamiqa Gabbi, Zara Zyanna, and Jackie Shroff.
