New Delhi: Kareena Kapoor is all set for the release of her upcoming film The Buckingham Murders, hitting theaters on September 13. To ensure the film reaches a wider audience, the makers have decided to release it in two versions: one in “Hinglish” (a mix of Hindi and English) and another dubbed entirely in Hindi.
Director Hansal Mehta aimed for authenticity by casting local actors, resulting in accents that may be challenging for some audiences to follow. To address this, and considering Kareena’s vast fanbase and the importance of accessibility for a mystery thriller, the makers have adopted a 50-50 release strategy. Half of the screens will show the Hinglish version, while the other half will screen the Hindi-dubbed version. This approach highlights the filmmakers’ dedication to making the movie as accessible as possible to a broad audience.
The film features Kareena Kapoor, Ash Tandon, Ranveer Brar, and Keith Allen in leading roles. Directed by Hansal Mehta, The Buckingham Murders is written by Aseem Arrora, Kashyap Kapoor, and Raghav Raj Kakker. It is a production of Mahana Films and TBM Films, presented by Balaji Telefilms, and produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, and Kareena Kapoor, marking her debut as a producer.
